1. Professional service and support in tank container transportation.
Lucky tank provides the full range of service for the transportation of tank container into all sea ports and inland destinations for the entire Asian /North America/South America/Europe/Middle east region. With the 'Dedicated Shipment', 'Door to Door' and import/export customs declaration services, together with the combined efforts of experienced agents in the world, Lucky tank is able to achieve each consignment in a timely and safe manner. 2. Manage the operations of third party tank containers.
A tank container is a movable pressurized vessel which is very different from dry containers. This sophisticated structure requires a great deal of time, effort and cost to ensure these tank containers comply with the operation manual safety codes.
By using existing resources and expertise that Winsailing acquired from professional tank depots and manufacturers, Winsailing is also providing management and maintenance service related to tank containers (tank cleaning, repairing, testing and maintaining in service and/or at statutory intervals). Through the long term cooperation with its extensive agency network and majority shipping liner companies, Lucky tank is able to deliver a smooth and comprehensive transportation plan. This will help customers save on administration costs and thus customers will be willing to give their full support in the future.
TANK FLEET
1.Tank fleet
The majority of Lucky tank tank containers are manufactured from stainless steel making the tank container suitable for the carriage of food grade products, non-hazardous chemicals and a large majority of hazardous products. Our fleet of tank containers include lined, heated, cooled and baffled containers ranging in capacity from 16,000ltr to 26,000ltr.
2.Baffle Tanks
We own and operates baffle tanks ranging in capacity from 20,000ltr to 25,000ltr. Within our baffle tank fleet we have containers fitted with steam heating, warm water heating, thermostatically controlled electrical heating systems and also cooling systems. The tanks are designed for high specific gravity products to be transported below the 80% minimal filling level as the baffles provide stability during transit.
3.Lined Tanks
Lucky tank lined tank containers are designed for the transport of both high purity and highly corrosive products. Our lined tank containers offer additional safety features such as product level detection devices and overfill protection systems. GPS tracking is also offered for real time tracking of tank containers while in transit. The tanks are available with a variety of linings including PTFE, phenolicresin, rubber together with various valve configurations to suit specific loading and discharge requirements.
4.Heated Tanks
Winsailing heated tank containers are fitted with either electrical or steam heating systems. We have developed in-house electrical heating systems designed for the safe carriage of heat sensitive products whilst maintaining product quality. Some of the products we transport are extremely sensitive to the smallest temperature fluctuations therefore our heating systems are regularly checked and tested to ensure absolute product integrity.
5.Refrigerated Tanks
Our fleet of refrigerated tanks feature cooling systems to ensure product stability of temperature sensitive loads. Tanks are fitted with temperature data loggers and track and trace equipment to ensure the product is monitored at all times.
6.Gas Tanks
Our gas tank container fleet includes zinc lined tanks designed for the transportation of non-refrigerant gases and stainless steel tank containers for pharmaceutical grade propellants.
TANK KNOWLEDGE
1. Max/Min payload based on IMO/IMDG
Liquid petrochemical products are restricted based on the loadable quantity given by IMDG Code. There are some principles and formulas to comply for loading liquid cargos into tank containers, where cargo temperature and coefficient of cubical expansion of the liquid are measured.
•Dangerous Cargo:Max and Min loadable quantity shall be 95% and 80% of the tank nominal capacity, respectively.
•Non-Dangerous Cargo:Max and Min loadable quantity shall be 97% and 75% of the tank nominal capacity, respectively.
Example :
Dangerous cargo "Phenol" and Non-Dangerous Cargo "Lubricating Oil" loaded into a 24,000 liter tank container :
Phenol (SG:1.06; Un Number:2312; Class:6.1)

2. Why do Max/Min payload have restriction
A tank container is a movable and confined pressurized vessel, which is used to load liquid petrochemical products and edible foodstuff for transportation on land and sea. When a tank container experienced unbalanced stability due to sudden unexpected situation, the cargo in the tank container will still be moving because of inertia and liquidity of the cargo. Such a movement will force an impact to the vehicle and the tank which might caused an accident. On the other hand, when such a confined tank container is overloaded with liquid cargo, the cargo might inflate because of temperature imbalance (coefficient of thermal expansion) and consequently it will cause a pressure on the tank and there might be a risk of cargo leakage. For these reasons, many countries incorporate the clause "Max/Min quantity to load" as law to ensure safety during transportation.
